RATIO: 1 Tablespoon Odormute™ powder to 1 Gallon of water

DIRECTIONS:  For best results, dissolve Odormute™ in a Pint of warm water. Allow 5 - 10 minutes, mixing occasionally, to make sure all powder is dissolved. Then, add this solution to the rest of the water to be used.

​Enzymes are activated by adding warm water. Once activated, enzymes must be used within 4 hours for best results.

Water temperature must be between 45° F to 140° F, with the optimum temperature between 70° F and 90° F. Freezing will not harm enzymes, however, temperatures above 140° F will destroy them. 

SPRAY ON APPLICATION

RATIO: 1 Tablespoon of Odormute™ powder to 1 Gallon of water

DIRECTIONS: Mix Odormute™ powder in a Pint of warm water until completely dissolved (5-10 minutes). Add this solution to the balance of the water to be used. ​Using a sprayer (hand held or Lawn and Garden type, depending on the area to be treated) thoroughly spray the Odormute™ solution on the area the cat has sprayed. Be sure to treat behind any baseboards or other areas where the urine may have run. Odormute™ must come into direct contact with the source of the odor to eliminate it. Any residue left after drying can be removed with a damp cloth. Note: Odormute™ will eliminate odors but it is not a deterrent and will not keep your cat from repeating this behavior.

RATIO: 3 Tablespoons of Odormute™ powder to 1 Pint of water

DIRECTIONS:  Mix Odormute™ powder in a Pint of warm water until completely dissolved (5-10 minutes). 

Top Loading Washing Machine Instructions 

1. Fill washing machine with warm (75° F - 110° F) water. Add Odormute™ solution to washer. Add clothing to washer.

​2. Turn washer on and agitate for 2-3 minutes or until Odormute™ solution is evenly distributed.

3. Turn off washing machine and allow to soak for 1 hour.

4. Turn machine on and allow to run through a normal cycle. If the odor appears to have been eliminated to your satisfaction, you may add detergent at this time and run a regular wash cycle.

Front Load Washing Machine Instructions 

Powders typically will not go through front loaders.

1. Pour the mixed Odormute™ solution into either the liquid soap compartment on your machine, or directly into the chamber by pouring on top of your laundry.

2. If possible, fill chamber, pause and soak for 1 hour.

3. Turn machine on and allow to run through a normal cycle. If the odor appears to have been eliminated to your satisfaction, you may add detergent at this time and run a regular wash cycle.

Spray or Sprinkle On

Regular Use after initial treatment

RATIO: 1 Tablespoon of Odormute™ powder to ​3 Gallons of water

DIRECTIONS: Mix Odormute™ in a Pint of warm water until completely dissolved (5-10 minutes). Add this solution to the balance of the water to be used. Apply this solution with a Lawn and Garden type sprayer, sprinkling can or simply wash down the area with a bucket. The Odormute™ solution must reach the source of the odor to eliminate it. Allow to dry. 

The most difficult odor to eliminate, period. 

RATIO:  1 Tablespoon of Odormute™ powder to 1 Quart of warm water

Skunk Odor on Pets

DIRECTIONS:  When your dog or cat gets “skunked”, it is best to bathe your pet outdoors in order to avoid getting in contact with any household items. Wear gloves to avoid contact with the skunk odor. 

Thoroughly soak your pet’s coat with the Odormute™ solution. Avoid direct contact with the pet’s eyes; use a soaked washcloth if needed around eyes, nose and mouth. Allow the mixture to dry for about 1 hour. Once dry, rinse your pet thoroughly with cool water, then repeat by washing your pet with cool water again. If skunk odor is still detected, repeat the entire process.

Once odor is eliminated, wash your pet with your favorite pet shampoo. Enzymes may be irritating to skin on some animals. If skin redness or irritation occurs, discontinue use and wash your pet thoroughly with water.

Skunk Odor on Walls, Floors and Other Surfaces

DIRECTIONS:  Use a hand-held sprayer (or a larger Lawn and Garden Sprayer depending on the surface area to be treated). Spray any surface that may have been exposed to the odor through direct contact or air-borne odor. The solution may be sprayed on draperies if the contact was not direct, but airborne. On some surfaces such as wood paneling, a slight residue may be left after drying. This can be removed with a damp cloth. Skunk odor is the most difficult odor to remove and may require repeat applications.
